ur lawyers act for borrowers and for lenders in real estate transactions involving refinances, changes of title, transfer of title following a separation agreement and other transactions involving financing secured by real property. As part of our work we complete a subsearch of title to your real property and arrange the registration of a new first or subsequent mortgage on the property followed by payout of debts (if applicable) or payment of a mortgage advance to the client as the borrower.
We also act on private mortgages that do not involve a mortgage broker provided that certain disclosures are made and/or separate representation for the borrower and lender is arranged to complete the transaction.
